life since October 22 2010

We waited probably half an hour at the airport.  The first thing we heard that he was on the plane was a couple of people telling us that he was a good missionary.

Seattle to Portland part 2

The view from the top of the space needle. So much to look at.  Glad I live where I do though.
Saturday was the ride Jon was preparing the whole year for.
It's not a very good picture but I know it's Jon.  This was all worth it to see him finish 204 miles

We are all proud of Jon and glad he was done.  What a long day for him. We will see what next year holds.

Seattle to Portland aka STP July 14 - 17, 2010

Brei Scott Leah Jessie
The trip started Wednesday
Made it to Longview by dinner time with Tatertot Casserole waiting for us.
Mt St. Helens
Thursday a trip to Mt St Helens in Washington.  I stayed with Mom and Dad. While the rest of the family went sight seeing.
The family came back just in time for us to have a mini Riley Reunion.  Taco Salad was on the menu along with great visiting with Phil and Rosie. Marie trimed my hair mistakes that I made. Asheley was there with her 8 day old beautiful baby girl.
Scott bought a Droid in Chehalis Washington.  That took a lot of time as the computers were down and we were not told about it when we got in.

Friday We headed out to Seattle, checked into the hotel and then did the sight seeing thing.  My second time at the Spaceneedle.  There were some people who were at the worlds fair and this day was their second time being at the needle even though they lived in Seattle.  The ride up was only 45 seconds and I left my stomach at the bottom and felt light headed the rest of the day.

Dogs can be a disaster

I use to think that kids were messy.  The thing is, you can train a kid to pick up their things.  Chip is a disaster waiting to happen.  She's a tornado in the house.  She is trouble with a capital T.  Between Sprite and Chip I can't keep up with the cleaning.  Now my house smells like I own a dog.  Chip's oils are stronger than Sprites.  I'm guessing that's why this type of dog is more hypo-allergenic.  There is a plus... she doesn't shed.  She knows what No means.  She can sit and stay.  She knows her name.  I can't wait until the puppy stage is over.

A book to look forward to.

I just read this review to Leah and we both want to read this book.  Hopefully others will want to read this too.

The life of a puppy

So what does she do all day?  She waits for us to let her out of the Kennel.  She waits for us to take her out to do her business. She waits for us to feed and water her.  She causes us to play with her.  Then she gives all the love and affection she can give.  Well she's not at the stage to wait and wait.  We have to do and do until we get her trained.  She already loves to fetch and bring back her toys but watch out if something gets in her way.  She has forgotten what she was after.  Leave the door open and she goes in and out as she pleases.  We all love our Chip.

A birthday mix up

You can't see the number on the candle but it says 57.  Imagine that!  I bought the wrong numbers?  Yep and it was a big conversation piece.  Now Jon can be any age he wants until he really turns 57.  He is 47 and still looking good.
Jon's 47th Birthday. I told Jon we could save the numbers until he turns 75.  Boy did I have my numbers wrong.  Happy ________? What birthday?

The pain in my mouth!

yeah my wisdom teeth was the scariest experience i have ever had, it was terrifying, to make a long story short, it only took 5 minutes from the time i sat in the chair to the time i left, unsteral tools, horror film surroundings, and wide awake! i will explain more when i get home, i will act it out for you.

Jace let us know that he wanted to kick his previous dentists' butt for not taking out the top wisdom teeth.  The dentist said that they were so far up there they wouldn't be a bother.  He was totally wrong.  I don't know how long Jace had pain but it was very hard to eat and enjoy things and also very painful to brush his teeth. He let us know that he would be withdrawing money to pay for the extraction.  I didn't notice any difference in the withdraws so it must have been cheep.
